I have been involved in the design, budgeting, construction and startup
of the following facilities:
1. Thermoplastic plants in Texas, Pennsylvania and Atlanta Georgia.
Production capacities respectively; 10,000 tons per year, 8,000 tons per
year and 15,000 tons per year.
2. Preformed Tape manufacturing in Pennsylvania. Production Capacity 1
million Square feet per year.
3. Paint manufacturing Facilities in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Renton
Washington. Production capacities respectively Annually, All plants
where water borne capable:
a. Georgia: 20,000 Gallons per day; 50,000 Gallons per Day; 5,000
gallons per day
b. Pennsylvania; 10,000 gallons per day.
c. Renton Washington; 10,000 gallons per day.
4. Largest Georgia facility utilized bulk extender pigments with 450,000 pounds of bulk extender capacity, 80,000 gallons of resin storage, 100,000 gallons of in process paint capacity, finished goods storage was in excess of 500,000 gallons of
product. Filling of bulk, drums, semi bulk and five gallon cans could be
accomplished simultaneously.
5. Each facility had a standalone laboratory capable of all quality
assurance testing.
The LDI Canton facility was redesigned as a water borne production
facility and by the time it Became Lafarge Road Marking 98% of the
product produced there was waterborne. We produced 100% solids two
component epoxies at this facility as well several Zinc Rich epoxy
product lines.
All of the Thermoplastic facilities where able to produce granulated hydrocarbon thermoplastic as well as classic granulated alkyd Thermoplastic.
The sheet extrusion plant produced Preformed Thermoplastic, Adhesive
backed 60 mil temporary tapes and adhesive backed preformed permanent
tapes.
The East Point facility produced a comprehensive line of Architectural
coatings and over 700 different formulations for use in industrial
maintenance, bridge painting and many light duty industrial
applications.
We know what is needed to efficiently produce your products at the
lowest cost possible.
